OleHenriksen

Banana Bright Eye Cremé

Why did I purchase this eye cream?

Two reasons:

#1: Because it was sold out in every Sephora near me (as well as online!) - a true sign of a well-loved product.

#2: Ole Henriksen, the Danish founder of this skincare line, does his research, and bases his ingredients on science.

This stuff is inspired by “banana powder” ( if you don’t know what banana powder is, it’s just a yellow-based setting powder with instant brightening and illuminating properties - commonly used on the under eye area).

This cream, like the banana powder it’s inspired by, also has instant brightening and illuminating properties. It’s focus is definitely on dark circles, but it also claims to be a hydrating cream that works for fine lines & wrinkles, as well as actually help under eye concealer application and wear. With all these claims, I had to get my hands on this stuff as soon as it became available ( it’s fully stocked now, at least online ).

A little goes a long way

After using this stuff, I can say it’s a pretty clutch morning eye cream, alone or under makeup. It instantly brightens up the eye area and works well as a color-corrector, it won’t crease your concealer, and it transforms your under eye skin into a smooth canvas. It’s not a super-hydrating cream, but rather a lightweight, easy-to-apply cream - so if you’re looking for a cream solely for moisturization or targeting fine lines & wrinkles, I would look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for an eye cream to disguise long nights & early mornings, here ya go.

Ole Henriksen personally met with Linus Pauling, a two-time Nobel Prize winner and American biochemist, and heavily studied his research of Vitamin C as an antioxidant and free-radical scavenger. Henriksen was one of the first manufacturers to incorporate Vitamin C into his skincare products - fast-forward to today and it’s hard to find a skincare line without Vitamin C in it!
